I look at things as they work in the real world, not in a
theoretically ideal one. Ham antennas are almost never balanced, and
BECAUSE they are not balanced, any common mode current on the
feedline WILL couple to the antenna (including local noise). Most
hams I know want to work weak signals. If you don't care about that,
and only wnat to work your 20 over 9 buddies, don't use a choke.
