All that being said, we have probably reached a point where the practical
value of greater close-in rejection is limited by transmitted key clicks and
SSB splatter.

A perceptive comment... And as I was inspecting Rob's table of comparisons I
wondered if I would be able to hear any real world difference between the top 3
radios... I have to say that there is only a small difference between my (all
mods) MK-V and stock Orion 2... Both are excellent contest radios... Both
have allowed me to run over a thousand Q's in CW contests <I am the limiting
factor, not the radios>
It appears that the K3 will have an edge in the second receiver compared to
an O1/O2/MKV...
OTOH, I am seeing criticism of some flaws in the K3 receiver <I won't repeat
them here as I do not know the validity of what I read)
What is interesting that I have not seen the foam-at-the-mouth-bunch of
professional whiners getting all over the K3 as they have done here with the
Orions... Either the radio is almost perfect (unlikely given the picayune crap
they whine about on the Orion) or our happy bunch of nitpickers are giving the
K3 a home-free ticket... Makes me wonder what is going on..
