I have done the factory mod to my O2 and although I haven't tested it
extensively on VHF, the HF problem I was having went away. At my shack
(www.n6ie.com) I have a 50 Watt 2-meter FM radio about 1 foot from the
headphone input on the Orion II, and I have no RFI problem. I just now
tried operating a 2-meter HT near the Orion and I can hear a slight 'pop'
when I key it if the HT is less than about one foot from the O2.

When I have my cell phone on the table in front of the rig, I can hear a bit
of 'buzzing' when the cell is about to ring, which happens to a lot of audio
equipment these days.
