Jeff, I had the same problem and Ten-Tec sent out a new connector; however, when I started to take the rig apart to replace the connector I found the shell of the DB-9 was a seperate piece. So just remove the jack screw posts from the connector and whatever else holds that board to the rear panel and reverse the shell of the DB-9. Re-assemble and you're done.
