Hear you on that Larry,

Ive been sorta waiting in the wings here enjoying reading the posts
about the tentec rigs. I currently own an Icom 781 but would really
like to get an Orion I or II with a tuner some day. Im waiting for them
to drop in price a little more and to get some more fixes under their
belt. This is really a great reflector group.

Patience, fellas, patience.

I know, we've been waiting quite a while, and I disagree, I think Scott
et.al., at TT are aware of these things, and will at some point address
them
as best they can.

Remember what TT is...a small business...with limited resources and
personnel. So in the words of a poet I don't remember, "TTT" Things
take
time. And in our world TTTTT Ten Tec Things Take Time.

Yes, yes, I know, if they'd open the code up, many of these things
would be
fixed overnight, but they'd lose control of their own software. And
that
just won't happen anytime soon, so I'm told.

I would like to believe that the next rev of Orion updates will include
some
of the refinements that seem to have been added to the Omni VII.

Let's hope so, anyway.

Larry, N0XB

That assumes mode identifies the register.
If you are using LSB for both SSB and PSK, then
you have to look somewhere else on the display.
Simply adding ABCD to the display makes it easy
i.e. A = CW, B = SSB, etc. My real point is
"If it's good for the new Omni VII, why hasn't
the same idea been implemented in Orion which
has been around for 4 years?"
