[TenTec] Argosy 525 Query

I've added the #220 SSB filter in the Argosy 525. The manual says to 
realign the carrier oscillator.

What adverse effects will occur if the oscillator is NOT realigned?  
(Probably would require a trip to Ten-Tec--if they still work on Argosies.)
