I thought that the RIT/XIT buttons were specifically designed to ZERO 
OUT PREVIOUS selection when gently PUSHED IN and held for 2 seconds.  It 
works that way on the Jupiter and the Orion. It also worked that way on 
the Omni-VII that I had the privilege of testing at the Old Timer's Picnic.
