The EXT SPKR (Reference (78) in 566 manual), when connected with a standard
1/4" phone plug, the internal speaker in the ORION II is disabled. Tip of
the plug is audio. Sleeve is ground. I have used mine to connect an old
SKYTEC Model CW-1 (Speaker - 750 Hz) successfully.
