Never one to have only one radio on the bench... i dug out one of my older Omni A transceivers...This Omni A I have works just great.... but on 80 meters, there's only about 30 or so watts RF output into a 50 ohm load current is only 12 amps or so...on 160 meters, there's only about 3 watts RF and only about 8 amps of dc current. power is just fine with 100 watts of rf on all other bands... suspect the alc diodes on the swr/alc diodes.... mike Mike Bryce, WB8VGE the heathkit shop SunLight energy systems J e e p o|||||||o |
