As a footnote to the earlier discussion about Reginald Fessenden, and
whether he did or did not broadcast speech and radio on Dec. 24, 1906,
some might be interested in listening to a program on the BBC World
Service. The program contends that Fessenden's earlier broadcasts, in
November of that year, were widely heard by ship operators up and down
the U.S. east coast. The program is available, for a few days anyway, at:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/programmes/discovery.shtml
Lasts for about half an hour.
