Even stranger when you consider that CommCAT's author, Howard Nurse, lives
just up the freeway from me here in Sonoma County. It's a beautiful program
with a lot of nice features, but I wanted a program that will immediately
tell me the worked/confirmed status by band and mode of a DXCC entity by
just typing in the prefix. The old DOS Hyperlog did that just fine, but so
far no program I have found does that *and* controls the Orion II.
Ham Radio Deluxe is an excellent program...works very well with the Orion
II, but it makes absolutely no differentiation between a DXCC entity that is
confirmed, and one that is only worked. 'Worked' and 'confirmed' are shown
in the log, but when making reports, they're all lumped together! That's a
shame, since it's otherwise the best program out there, not to mention
free...
