[TenTec] Orion II AGC variable Threshold

I  am curious as to what others have found to be good settings using the 
"variable threshold" method of peaking weak signals.
About .72 mv seems  best for me on 7 mhz.  I use 10db decay - CW operation, 
ground mounted vertical antenna in an RV park.
