Don, the rcv ant jack is not protected, just as Duane said. You can either
buy or make a switching arrangement that will mute the rcv ant on transmit.
Thus protecting the front end of your receiver.
If you work any DX on the low bands, and use beverages, that is a must. I
have a device made by Gary KD9SV I think he calls it a front end saver.
Works great.
My Corsair II will hear anything that My Omni VI+ will hear.
I think that you will like the Corsair II very much. As you said, you can
listen to 2 freq on the same band. Great for chasing DX and listening to the
pileup and the DX at the same time.
