The ones we had at the club were gel cell type electric car batteries. Unfortunately, no longer available. But, "Absorbed Glass Mat" is the technology of them, and that is available from the independent battery store chains in the car battery sized, groups of round cells with handle. They are sold as alternatives to car batteries of the traditional lead acid type.
