I'll go along with that. The Jup I had new was just plain dissapointing. I 
couldn't find anything to like 
about it. And yes I knew how to operate it. When I called Ten Tec about 
returning it, they said I must have 
gotten a bad one. I had to agree.
      I enjoyed the other 4 or 5 TenTecs I've owned and I would like to own an 
Orion someday if they get the 
bugs out of it.

     A guy 35 miles from me has a Jup and he loves it. It sounds like a million 
bucks too.

I have a theory about the love or it or leave it syndrome with the Jupiter. I 
think it is due to poor quality 
control and loose build alignment tolerances. Therefore the "I love mine" "Mine 
is horrible" reviews.

With twelve pages of reviews I don't believe everyone that gave a bad review 
has an axe to grind. I don't 
doubt the intelligence of 'all' the reviewers giving either good or bad reviews.
