I use the Airpax in line with my Orion. It is a fast breaker, and it seems
reasonable to use it. But as a licensed ham since 1959 and having used many
transceiver powered by Astron supplies, I have never lost a rig due to final
transistor death and never tripped a supply. Not to say it cannot happen,
but my feeling is that if there is a rig with an output stage prone to take
off, the rig designer did a darn poor job.

Not to belabor the point excessively, but Mike is right. The Air-Pax units
are specified for use with Ten Tec rigs specifically because they are so
fast. Have saved my rig and many other's. Use them in preference to fuses.
