I'm not sure what board it's on but there is a circuit composed of two
diodes which generate the ALC voltage. They are physically near two other
diodes which generate the SWR reading. In total there are five diodes in
fairly close proximity on the board as I recall.. A lightning discharge can
zap these or some of them.
If it were my rig, I'd just replace all five of them (that's what Ten-Tec
would do first, I think).
