I have had good luck with Sennheiser HD 202's, which are used a lot in the
broadcast industry since they are quite sturdy, light and cheap, about $20 a
pair. They are the correct impedance for the Orions which unfortunately was
not the case with my nice Heil Proset. When I used the Heils, I had to run
the audio level higher than with the Sennheisers, and when I unplugged the
phones, the speaker volume would rock the house until I turned it down!
The only problem with the HD 202's is that as they come from the factory,
make your head feel like it's in a vice. The headband, which is made out of
nearly indestructible, 'springy' plastic, needs to be stretched by bending
it open several times.
