No, I haven't experimented with reversing tones (although I have reversed
mark/space to copy someone who was operating "backward). Frankly, I am not
even certain I have an offset issue. When I check with RTTY stations that
are using audio FSK, they frequently are unsure of what frequency they are
actually on, so I am not really sure which of us is offset. I haven't worked
enough RTTY stations to be sure of this, but my impression was I might be
200 hz (170Hz?) off from receive to transmit since I was using the RX Offset
to copy some stations.
When I first got the Paragon I hooked it up for Audio FSK injecting tones in
the radio and running SSB, like you would get running a sound card
interface, but that route was susceptible to getting RFI in the audio chain.
That problem was quickly eliminated by using true FSK and running in FSK
mode, so that is where it has stayed. My experience with a TS-930 before the
Paragon was similar, life was easier using true FSK instead of trying to
generate it with tones. The Paragon has much better filter options on FSK
than the 930 had, by the way.

I AM ALSO INTERESTED IN THE FSK OPINIONS, MORE SPECIFICALLY WITH THE OMNI.
HAVE YOU TRIED REVERSING YOUR TONES TO ELIMINATE THE OFFSET? ES, HAVE YOU
TRIED SOFTWARE FSK, RATHER THAN THE TNC?
