I installed the upgrade chip in my internal LDG tuner. Somehow I was expecting the tuner to act more like the one in my TS-850S/ATU automatically tuning to a memorized setting when bands were changed. While the modified LDG does tune considerably faster than before, the Tune button needs to be depressed each time a band is changed. Dwayne explained that TT firmware issues a command to inactivate/ bypss the tuner when bands are changed.
