I believe it was an error on the part of the sender. It was meant for his
son and he mistakenly sent it to the list. Why would he mention that he
took some literay liberties in the description which would put buyers from
this list on guard.
As far as how it applies to Ten-Tec, when you consider that now this list is
predominately concerned with the Orion which is updated via a computer and
can be controlled by a computer the appropriateness need not be questioned.
Leave the questioning to the list administrator that his duty.
