What I find most curious is that everyone who feels the elephant feels
something so totally different.
It's what makes me think the variety of opinions on what floats our
respective boats (or not) is based on something besides actual performance.
Which is why I set out to make some measurements. And even though there were
some issues with the first attempts at it (right approach, but the wrong
meter, whatever), that will be fixed for the next round.
But it is pointless to just snipe at anyone who doesn't see it the way you
(collective, not personal) see it. We'd all benefit if someone with the
right test gear could jump in with some results. Maybe put all of this
subjective stuff to bed, once and for all -- regardless of how it comes out.
