OK...so I installed the 600hz filter in the 1khz slot....moved the 1khz
filter to the 1.8khz slot and removed the Ten Tec 500hz filter and disabled
the 500hz filter.
WOW!!!! What a difference.....suddenly the harshness of 199 taps is
gone...just gone...I can now run at 199 taps with great audio and superb
filtering.
I guess the amp following the 500hz filter was contributing to the harshness
noted at 199 taps.
I do notice increased audio artifacts at my normal QSK delay setting....just
increased the delay a bit and ran the RF gain down a bit and all is happy.
The DSP NR is working FB now.
Wish I had done this a long time ago.
Now to make some contacts.
