JT:
I have both the Heil/Tentec Studio One and the Tentec 705 desk mike. These
are used on the Omni VI Plus and the Paragon II that are here on the desk.
Here's the audio reports I get:
Paragon II and 705 = great audio
Omni VI+ and 705 = great audio
Paragon II and Studio One = great audio
Omni VI+ and Studio One = bassey audio
Processor is OFF in both cases, both radios.
There is different topography in the audio circuits between the two radios.
The Studio One is dynamic and typical of dynamic mikes will suffer from
proximity effect, i.e. boosted low end , when used very close to the mouth.
Typically I speak in a normal voice about 3 to 4 inches from the mike. No
more no less.
Audio output level is down on the Heil/Tentec Studio One, again typical of a
dynamic mike, when compared to the 705.
I can meet you on some band/freq if you want to hear for yourself. Let me
know.
