Have things changed Toby? I thought the same code would work on both rigs?
And aren't all the Beta testers (outside of the factory) using the original
Orion?

The release of the 2.0 code for the old Orion may not happen at the same
time the O2 ship date as the code for the two Orions is different. The
priority now is getting O2 to market, and the 2.0 code for the old Orion
may have to wait for a while longer.

Yes - the firmware for the ORION II is also the next version of the firmware
for the original ORION. The delay in releasing it has been that we've been
working on it internally for quite some time to run both transceivers.

No upgrade from one to the other. 7 circuit boards, filters, screen, mic
jack
have all changed. The cost to upgrade one to the other would be prohibitive
-
we've elected not to offer it as an option.
