I have a similar problem with mine. I found that the power supply may
be marginal (it's a 120 volt supply on a 230-120 volt transformer).

I also found that when I connected the antenna jack to a dummy load with a
short coax it worked fine. In my case, RF is getting in somehere. :-(

A counterpoise helped.
