IMHO, its a marketing ploy rather than a matter of optimism. A way to try
and keep 'em from grabbing something available NOW, like a 7800 or a FTdx9000
while TT is stuck with NOTHING to offer.

IMHO, marketing may have proved a touch more optimistic (or on schedule)
than engineering, programming, and/or manufacturing.
I for one never expected that these announcements were absolute deadlines,
though it would have been nice.
But, I'd rather see the rig out a little late -- and done right -- than
released "on-time" but not ready for prime time!
