These are really nice radios. As to a mike to use, the D-104 will be great
if the element is good and good does not mean just having output. Lots of
the old ones have output but do sound bad as a result of moisture and heat
affecting the element. There are new elements around, do a GOOGLE search.
Day in and day out the Tentec 705 desk mike will certainly not make you
ashamed of your signal on SSB. As to the Tentec speech processors (or most
speech processors for that matter) and the Heil elements, well I don't care
for the way they sound.
