Haw ha...I love that description, 'modest antenna farm'. I bet you
worked your fanny off installing that 'modest antenna farm' too..!
But congrats for that win, it's no small feat to win a category in
the big contest.
I had to 'kinda' cheat to win 1st place SOHP in Georgia for the ARRL
DX CW contest...all of the REAL contesters from Georgia had been
pulled away to either PJ2T or NK4I. But heck, a win is a win!
Yep, agree, the Orion does work fine for such contest category, as
long as you don't use it's keying loop. Other's have mentioned it
also works fine when using the AMP Output interface.
