I'm not faulting TT for having a new version of radio. That *is* a
normal and healthy thing for them to do and everyone agrees on that.
What I think is bothering folks like me is the fact that they didn't
make the old radio more stable before announcing the new model. It
would have been far better for them to release the latest and greatest
firmware and wait at least 24 hours later to reveal the new model.
I haven't read anything directly from Scott/TT (another faux-pas) that
comforts the masses about the support of the Orion "1". While I have
faith that they will take care of things, it would be nice to hear it
from *them* and not someone not employed by TT.
Presumably, (I have no other information to the contrary) V2.0 is tied
to the new radio's release, so there will be additional delays. As I
said before, its a great radio now. It will be a great, stable radio
someday. I can be patient but I am chagrined at no new release of v2.0
for the "old" radio before the new one arrives. You'd think they would
want to test some things in the firmware before they started shipping O
II's...
