Last year I sat in a court room here in Tennessee. The judge asked the
young fellow standing before him why he had a radar detector. The young
fellow said "so he'd know when radar was operating". Judge said, "guilty as
charged. See the bailiff and make arrangements to pay the fine plus court
costs." Then the judge commented "radar detectors are used to aid one in
breaking the law. Anyone that comes to my court and is found with a radar
detector will automatically be found guilty." It's not against the law to
have a radar detector here in Tennessee but these country judges will take
matter into their own hands. Especially the one in Cumberland County
Tennessee.
