In addition to what Carl said, the Corsair II (I don't know
about the Corsair) had a "QSK" output that essentially was the
'T' voltage buffered by an open collector transistor. It was
asserted low at key or PTT closure and went high 5 to 10 mS
after opening the key or PTT. RF appeared at the output
about 5 to 8 mS after key closure. That is the same signal the
Corsair used to switch all internal circuits. NOTE, timing
approximate. I'm going by memory and that is dangerous! :-)
Worked great with my Ameritron AL80A with PIN QSK
switching. I could run full break-in at any speed my keyer
would run with perfect output waveform. That is the rig could,
I'm actually pretty slow. :-)
