That's what I was thinking. Short of putting a recording 
oscilloscope on the supply leads, I would buy 
their "official supply" and run it that way after it's 
fixed. Then you will have sorted out the excuses from the 
problems.
I run mine with an Astron for years. No problems.

expensive to find out!
