Ha,

It's been my experience for the past 50 years that hearing a 'variety of
tones' is NOT a problem! Many are out of my band pass -- high pitched
screeches or low pitched thuds. I'm for being on frequency in round
tables. (Are those iron filings I see around my RIT control shaft
bearing?).
