I'll be sure and clean the cable contacts.
And I'll have a near by ham check for harmonics, compared to my other amp.

Hi Rick,
I just heard one report, from one ham, who said an HA14 he had was a
spur generator. With the bias supply in a separate box, dirty contacts
on interconnecting cables could easily result in improper or
inconsistant bias. Maybe he had a problem such as that, which made his
HA14 dirty. I'm sure you will be able to get good results. Enjoy.
