Some are in the Handbooks showing quarter wave stub extending on a slant
from the end of the element to earth.   There are so many antenna books here
at lab, I can't remember which one had that.   Was not ARRL handbook,
however.

The simple way for hams to use sloped vee beam is without a termination.
With the bi directional character, this is not a problem on sloper, as the
back side toward feed on pole is aimed at high angle and thus less skip.
