Speaking of Kenwoods, Argos, etc...
I can tell you how Kenwood did it, they allow the user
to turn off the DSP and fall back on analog filters
and superior dynamic range. I compared the Argo V to
the TS480 and bought the 480Sat. I had it going
Saturday afternoon on 20m and night on 40m for the NA
contest. Signals were -pounding- and the 480 receiver
(with 500 hz crystal filter) stood in strong - never
wilted. My OMNI VI+ or even Corsair II is still a
better tool in this RF climate, but in the ARGO V
class, the Kenwood is a worthy competitor.
