Hello Dan,

Yes, the menu is rather intuitive. The key factor especially with programmable AGC, something previously not available to users, users must take some time to study the manual and various documents on the subject of AGC parameters, then it too, is intuitive.

What one 'needs' in terms of performance depends only on how they operate their own station. High performance is not a requirement for everyone, but if high performance is available, why would you settle for less? While setteling for 'less' is really OK, if you really don't need it.

Hello Tommy

I think the orion is not bad. But what's about the "handling" of it? Has it an intuitive "menu" to make all the adjustments? Do you need really this performance (like the IC-7800) for approx. <5% of all the very hard situations? Or are some other TRX also very good one (TS-870 / TS-2000 / TS-480) and (like a goodie) so much cheaper??
