Doug, According to Rich Arland in his book Low Power Communication, only 800+ were ever made. I don't know what the "+" means. Manufacturers never start their serial numbers with 1; 100 is more likely. So you must have one of the last. He goes on to say "so prices on these rigs are extremely high." I didn't find that to be true; I sold one from an estate. I would call them "overpriced." An analog Triton-IV will go down in power from 100 to essentially zero watts, has a better receiver, makes a fine QRP rig, and costs much less. 73, Chas At 11:26 AM 1/15/2005, you wrote: Does anyone know how many of these rigs were ever produced? The serial number of my rig is #822 and I think that perhaps only 1,000 were ever produced. Many thanks.
