The Omni 6+ is ok on SSB but keep in mind that it doesn't have a monitor, if
that matters. Consider buying a new Jupiter. It's got better receive and
transmit audio (for SSB), a monitor and is a lot of fun with N4PY software.
The Omni 6+ excels as a cw rig. The narrow audio response of the Omni 6+ is
a bonus for cw but is a bit tiring to some SSB operators. Steve N4LQ ----- Original Message ----- From: <Kc9cdt@aol.com> To: <tentec@contesting.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 24, 2004 10:59 AM Subject: [TenTec] Question regarding Omni VI+ on SSB Guys,
