I get RF into all my TT rigs. I believe it comes in through the antenna jack and shows up at the speaker in the form of beeps.

Hi,

I've owned so many Ten Tec rigs that I can't remember. The 540 (still have it), Century 21, Century 22, original Argosy analog, OMNI-C, 580, OMNI VI, etc. Also have used the Pegasus extensively.

I've never had a problems with RF getting into Ten Tec rigs. Often and maybe usually, I haven't even grounded them, especially when portable or mobile or borrowing the Pegasus from a friend.

I've used Ten Tecs from Ohio to Wisconsin to California to North Carolina and several places off the North American continent. No problems at all.

So, I presume any RF problems described on this site must be unique and characteristic to any particular operator's site.

The only time I've had RF problems was in the old days with tube gear such as kits from companies which are long gone, including Heathkit. Even those could have been solved by proper grounding.

Ouch! Those RF bites used to hurt and make my spine tingle.

73s,

Rick
