For a Vee beam, or rhombic to operate as intended, the wires MUST be over level ground! If the wires are strung across a gully or valley, as I tried a few years ago........no beam gets formed! Very disappointing as I had lots of horizontal room for 600 foot legs, but unfortunately across a few hundred foot depth ravine or valley. A gradual slope to the ground might work out ok, but best if level. 73, Jim KH7M _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
