[TenTec] Orion vs.Omni VI+

I know this topic has been covered before, but I may want to purchase a  late 
model VI+ as a CW/back-up radio.  Wondering if I'd be better off  spending 
twice the money on an Orion, given my application.
 
After all, the Omni (to me) looks sooo much cooler!  What d'ya  think?  Is 
the Orion that much better??
