Greetings, Marc. Might be worthwhile to replace the battery and be sure to
check whether you have the mod to use a NiCd. Also, you can leave the power
supply on and just turn off the rig from the front panel to see if that
solves your problem. I think that is actually what Ten Tec recommends. Since
another user with a V3 Giehl chip is having a similar problem as you,
perhaps that is an issue with that version of that chip. I have a V6.0 chip
and have had no problems, even when shutting everything off for a week while
travelling.
