As Tony said, NTS on CW still active on 80 meters
with many section nets. Unfortunately a few stations
around the country like to get on the so-called "Brass
Pounders List" (The old BPL) by originating hundreds of
spam messages to hams across the country they don't know
and have no relationship to, urging these folks to do
this or that, or send other inane, worthless messages.
This spam has taken the interest out of many good NTS
operators, and most of us are now in it for the good
use of CW and meeting friends. The regional levels are
hurting for good CW ops to serve as liaisons because of
the spam.
Anyhow, CW nets are there and several others on list have
been operators in past....If you enjoy a little CW and
want to brush up on your procedures, check out a rig, meet
some more cw ops or whatever, join in. You might even
want to send some traffic, as long as it's not spamgrams...
TT connection: As a lifelong CW NTS member, I was not living
until I got my first Ten Tec with QSK....

Tnx Tony,
Yes, that's the one thing I missed most about moving to Europe.
We can go to other countries, some of them even desirable ones (HB0, 3A,
etc.), but we don't have anything like NTS over here.

Yes indeedy. The 80 meter band is full of NTS activity each evening. Of
course, email and cheap telephone long distance charges have seriously cut
into the "QTC", hi.

Bob (or others), do the traffic nets (NTS) in CW still exist?
I thought PR would have eliminated them.
I used to be quite active in the 60's - also NCS for local and reginal>
Callsign back then was WA5ETA.
When I moved to Germany in 1971, I lost touch with NTS.
