Its personal preference I guess. I owned an 850SAT and operated the
Yaseu 1000 in a 160 meter CW contest. I swapped the 850 for an Omni V.
Later swapped the V for a VI. I much prefer the Omni's for CW
contesting. My 2 centavos.
