pete is right on the money.... i managed to go with your first thought... and replaced the caps.... total waste.... then i got a 6kv fluke probe for my fluke... figuring the setup would know the difference between the 1700 at high setting i was / and am still reading. and the proper 2300. it's the metering circuit. I also have left it alone till I need to pull the amp, for a good reason. Soo if anyone really wants a good deal on a set used caps, but work just as good as the new ones I put in....I'll be glad to deal. get a good probe... and save a bunch of $$...be careful... bill At 04:12 PM 7/17/2004, you wrote: Hi Marcel: My 425 also indicates 1.8 "Plate Kilovolts" on the front panel meter.
