        Roofing filters have nothing to do with MDS which is a pure 
sensitivity
measurement.  You are thinking of two-signal IMD performance.  It's important
to use a consistent 500 Hz BW for this measurement since a different BW
filter will result in different readings due to Noise bandwidth effects.
