Ahhh ... it reminds me of the old days around here discussing and cussing the Orion :-) Isn't it interesting we are discussing the 7800 on the TenTec reflector? If the ICOM gains the 'reliability' & 'Performance' edge, then there will be many used Orions on the market and there won't be much backlog at Ten Tec. The Orion software problems have to get fixed and the Features have got to be put in to outshine the competition. Plain and simple. The Price will draw the crowd if the Orions' reliablility and performance are a match. In fainess, It is still too early to say about the 7800. I waited a year for the Orion, Now that the 7800 is out, lets see what the 'real' performance is and if any DSP Bugs pop out of the 7800.
