WOW!!! Just read the pdf file on 1.37 and sure sounds excellent. Will have
to do some interconnection changes here, but sounds like its gonna be well
worth it. I, so far have been able to run my Orion to about 78 wpm max
speed before the characters/weight starts changing. Can't wait to try the
1.37 changes..
A big 'THANKS' for you guys at TT who keep on improving this already
impressive radio.

Subject: [TenTec] Fwd: [Orion] Orion FSK/CW/PTT interfacing
At the moment, I'd say QRX on this.
The PTT input on pin 3 on the rear AUX I/O connector is going to change
with a future firmware upgrade. It will allow the user, via the menus, to
accept PTT input from external control for CW, or use as a CW input jack,
or "nothing" which will ignore any signal at pin 3. Depending on what you
use the Orion for and how your station is configured, it will mean that you
will be able to use the PTT on pin 3 for a variety of options.
Explanation will be provided once the above change is released as
a firmware upgrade, which should be shortly.
